Its exclusive use of USDA FoodData Central and NCCDB-verified data — no user-submitted entries — makes it the most reliable option for dietitians, researchers, and individuals managing specific health conditions.

MyFitnessPal holds second place through sheer ecosystem breadth: the largest food database, the strongest third-party integrations, and the widest user community. For most people tracking general calorie and macro goals, it remains the default recommendation.
